Idaho Falls Homeowner Shoots Naked Intruder
Idaho Falls, Idaho – (KMVT-TV) Idaho Falls Police are investigating the report of a early morning home invasion. According to localnews8.com, the invasion was reported in the 400 block of Lincoln Drive. The intruder was shot twice in the leg by a .22 caliber after police say the homeowner found him in his upstairs bathroom. It was the homeowner's 15-year-old daughter who called police.
Police said the homeowner reported being woken up just after 5 a.m. Thursday while sleeping in his basement, by his Labrador dog barking upstairs. He retrieved his gun and went upstairs and found the 22-year-old unidentified male in his bathroom, naked. The homeowner said he told the intruder not to move, but the intruder "charged" at him. The homeowner shot the intruder twice in the leg. Neighbors and witnesses tell us when the intruder limped out of the house and took off down the street, blood from his gunshot wounds was splattering everywhere. Police found the intruder about five houses down from where the invasion took place, and transported him to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. The police continue to investigate.
