Arizona Counterfeit Coupon Ring Busted
Phoenix, Arizona (CNN) Check your coupons closely. Arizona authorities busted a counterfeit coupon ring worth several million dollars. Police arrested three women and raided three homes in Phoenix Tuesday. Officers hauled out boxes of fake coupons worth 25-million-dollars. They also seized vehicles, guns and other property. The coupons were sold on the web site savvy-shopper-site-dot-com.
Authorities believe the scam had been going on since 2007. They say most of the fake coupons were being used in Arizona, but were brought in from overseas. Police warn anyone caught using coupons purchased from the site could be arrested. Comments ( |
