A Woman Is Accused Of Trying To Steal A Newborn Baby
Garden Grove, California (CNN) Police in Garden Grove, California are investigating the near abduction of a newborn baby from a hospital.
The say the suspect was disguised in hospital scrubs and had a visitor's pass when she walked into the mother's room, suggesting she take a shower before the doctor arrived. "Mother turns her back, she takes the baby, puts it in a tote, and then tries to leave the room. The hospital had put an electronic bracelet on the right ankle of this infant. When the suspect tried to leave the hospital it sounded an alarm and automatically locks the doors and prevents her from leaving. She's trying to open the door to get out and that's when she was confronted by staff." The baby wasn't hurt and was reunited with her mother.
