Raging Wildfire Forces Entire Town To Evacuate
Featherville, Idaho (CNN) Hundreds of thousands of acres in the western part of the U-S are burning as several wildfires rage.
The largest is the Halstead fire, located about 18 miles northwest of Stanley, Idaho. So far the fire has charred about 92-thousand acres. High temperatures, low humidity and possible lightning isn't helping crews get the fire under control. It is only about five-percent contained as of Monday. The fire prompted a number of evacuations over the weekend, including the entire town of Featherville. Comments ( |
