Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra Love Nest Trashed
Los Angeles, California (CNN) - Elizabeth Taylor's "Cleopatra" love nest was trashed after being loaned to the set of Lindsay Lohan's "Liz & Dick" The dressing room trailer is the same one where Taylor's romance with Richard Burton began.
Fox Studios spent more than 75 thousand dollars to create the lavish trailer for Tayler to use on the set of "Cleopatra". That's about a half a million in today's dollars. And later, a fan of Taylor's paid her life-savings -50 thousand dollars- to purchase it. But the original seller had already contracted to rent it to Silver Screen Pictures for their film. The buyer, Angel Anger, says she was specifically told she would get the trailer back in perfect condition. But, unfortunately, she estimates that the person who trashed it did about 100 thousand dollars in damage. Anger says she suspects Lohan did the damage based on a studio employee's comment, but she can't prove it. Comments ( |
