Los Angeles, California (CNN) - A hero's farewell, more than 60-years after his death. Army Master Sergeant Clifford Ryan was killed in November of 1950, while fighting in the Korean War. After that battle with Chinese forces near North Korea, his body was not recovered at the time. 12 years ago, Sergeant Ryan's remains were discovered by a North Korean construction crew. They was identified through D-N-A testing, and now the remains have arrived in Los Angeles. His grandson was at the airport when the flag-draped coffin arrived. I'm here for my dad, his mom and his sister. We had to have some family members here just to welcome him home, Ryan will be buried Saturday in Riverside National Cemetery. Sergeant Ryan also served in World War Two and earned several medals including the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
