Estranged Wife Of Ca State Treasurer Allowed To Visit Son After Drug Arrest
Santa Ana, California (CNN) - The estranged wife of California state Treasurer Bill Lockyer will be allowed to visit her son as she faces drug possession and child abuse charges. Nadia Lockyer appeared in court in Santa Ana, California Monday. The former Alameda County supervisor was granted supervised visitations with her nine-year-old son, as long as his father is present. Lockyer was arrested late last month after police say they found methamphetamines at the home she was staying at with her son.
Lockyer wasn't in the home at the time but when officers found her they say she showed signs of "meth intoxication." "I'm extremely happy to be receiving the help that I need, and focusing on getting healthy, and I hope to inspire many, many, many others to do the same." Lockyer has pleaded not guilty to the charges. She faces up to five years in prison if convicted. Comments ( |
