Gay Football Player Kicked Off Team
A former college football player claims he was kicked-off the team because he is gay. Former North Dakota State College of Science player Jamie Kuntz says he was dismissed after kissing his boyfriend in the press box during a game. Kuntz initially lied about the kiss, saying his boyfriend --- who is 65-years-old --- was actually his grandfather. He apologized twice before being handed a letter by the head coach dismissing him from the team for detrimental conduct. "Sometime during the third quarter, just in between plays, we kissed and they saw us and they got mad, I guess," Dr. John Richman is the presidentof the North Dakota State College of Science. He said, "I believe that the facts and the thought that went into the decision and the process that was used to come to the decision were appropriate, very well thought through, and the disciplinary action that was taken, again I felt was appropriate." Kuntz has voluntarily withdrawn from North Dakota State College of Science and says he may consider legal action against the school.
