Oregon Apartment Complex Uses "Sauna" To Fight Bed Bugs
Portland, Oregon (CNN) - A public housing complex in Portland, Oregon has found a unique way to battle bed bugs. Before new residents move in, their belongings are placed in a closet-sized sauna for about two hours. The sauna heats up and kills off all the blood sucking critters. You put it in temperature that will actually cook the bed bugs and the eggs and we can feel 100% assured that after they go through the bed bug sauna, it is safe to take their belongings up to their rooms. It cost 35-thousand dollars to build the sauna -- but it's paying off. There has been a big drop in bed bugs at the complex since it was put into operation in June.
