Skiier Survives Avalanche In Nepal-Dad Speaks
Douglas County Nevada (CNN) - An American is among the survivors of a deadly weekend avalanche in Nepal. Glen Plake was reportedly in his tent reading his Bible when the ice mass sent him sliding hundreds of feet down Manaslu mountain. Eight people died in the avalanche. Plake's father who lives in Nevada says he's elated his son survived but saddened because others died. There is nothing that can describe it. He's alive and everybody else is dead. How do you describe it? You can't." It sounded like he had been in a street fight and got beat up and then when they finished with him, they drug him behind a car. He said 'That's what I feel like.”Searchers on Monday suspended efforts to find three missing climbers.
Rescuers say the climbers are presumed dead. Comments ( |
