Caldwell, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Idaho State Police say a man was injured near Caldwell after he ran from police who had stopped him along the freeway Tuesday. Police say at 3:15pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on I-84 near milepost 30. That’s near the Linden Road underpass in Canyon County. The car was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Police made contact with the driver, identified as Roberto Solario, 32 of Nampa. They asked him to step out of his vehicle to speak with him further at the roadside. After speaking with him briefly, Solario ran from the scene on foot. He ran into the westbound lanes of I-84 where he was struck by a pickup. Police say Solario was transported to the St. Alphonsus in Boise for treatment of injuries he sustained in the collision. The investigation continues.
