One Person Dead Following One Car Rollover

Lemhi County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Idaho State Police say a 26 year old Salmon man was killed after he lost control of the car he was driving. Police say the accident on Thursday October 4, happened at about 5pm. Garrett Nicolson of Salmon was traveling south on U.S. Highway 83 near milepost 317 in Lemhi County when he drove off the right shoulder of the highway, overcorrected and lost control. He struck a rocky embankment on the east side of the road causing the car to roll several times. Nicolson was not wearing a safety restraint belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital.
