One Person Dead Following Two Car Pileup On The Fort Hall Indian Reservation

Fort Hall Reservation, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Idaho State Police say an accident about 6:10pm Sunday night has claimed the life of a Chubbuck man. The accident was reported at Simplot Road and Mission Road on the reservation. Samuel Haroldsen, 30 of Pocatello, was northbound on Mission Road in a GMC pickup. Aleisa Smith, 50 of Chubbuck, was eastbound on Simplot Road in a 1986 Mercury Marquis. Haroldsen failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Simplot Road and Mission Road. As Smith entered the intersection, Haroldsen collided with her vehicle on the front passenger side. Haroldsen and his passenger, Matthew Haroldsen, 28 of Mackay, were not injured in the crash. Aleisa Smith was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Her passenger, Kevin Smith, 54 of Chubbuck, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
