Thanks To Drug Dog, Police Locate 4 Pounds Of Marijuana In Trunk Of Car

Boise, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Boise Police say they have recovered 4 pounds of marijuana, thanks to a police dog, following a routine traffic stop last night. Police say that at about 8pm Wednesday they spotted a vehicle with a headlight out near the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Chamberlin Street. As officers contacted the driver, Boise police K-9 named “Jaxx” gave signs to the officer that there were likely drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 2,038 grams (more than four pounds) of marijuana in the trunk. A further check indicated that Chelsea Keena, 28 of Boise, who was in the vehicle had a current warrant for her arrest on failure to appear charges. Keena was charged with felony trafficking Marijuana and on the failure to appear warrant. Tyler Kennedy 28 of Meridian was also in the vehicle and charged with felony trafficking Marijuana.
