U.S. Senator Harry Reid Involved In Traffic Accident
Las Vegas, Nevada (KMVT-TV) U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada was slightly injured following a six car pileup in Las Vegas this afternoon. Four of the six vehicles were part of Reid’s caravan. The accident just after 1pm happened on Interstate 15 in the northbound lane near Sahara Avenue. Security transported Reid to the hospital. He walked in on his own power. A statement issued by his office said he experienced rib and hip contusions and has been cleared for release by the doctors. Police say the accident involved two Las Vegas Police SWAT vehicles, two U.S. Capitol Police vehicles and two civilian vehicles. Two of the northbound lanes of I-15 was closed.
