Challis Resident Dies In Car Crash

Willow Creek Summit, Idaho (KMVT-TV) 42 year old Challis resident Michelle L. Dea died after the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled down a hillside. Idaho State Police said the accident happened Thursday, November 8, 2012 on U.S. Highway 93, mile marker 138 on Willow Creek Summit. Dea was southbound when she failed to negotiate a corner, overcorrected, lost control and slid off the side of the hill. The vehicle rolled to the bottom of the hill and came to rest. Dea was discovered at 6:56 am by a passing motorist and reported to Custer County. Dea was wearing her seatbelt however succumbed to her injuries.
