Seattle PD Accused Of Excessive Force

By Paul Johnson

Seattle, Washington (CNN) - Seattle police have released video of an officer's confrontation with a driver. A lawyer for Leo Etherly sued for the release of this video, taken October sixth from the dashboard camera of a police cruiser. The attorney says it shows officers using excessive force on his client. "This is so far afield from appropriate policing that it should cause concern for all of us." Officers thought Etherly was involved in a hit-and-run after they got a match on his license plates. He has not been charged in that incident. Seattle police won't say if the officer used reasonable force. The case is being sent to the Office of Professional Accountability to decide.
