SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Federal authorities have filed a
kidnapping charge against a Utah man who was found in Missouri with
the body of his ex-girlfriend stashed in a car.

Court documents say Michael Doyel (DOYLE) admits that he tied up
the body of Deborah Jones and placed it in a storage bin in her
car. The documents say he drove the Volkswagen Passat from the Salt
Lake City area to Las Vegas and then to Branson, Mo.

Doyel, 47, is not charged in federal court with killing Jones.

Doyel, the car, the body and another woman were discovered
Monday night at a motel in Branson.

Separately, Doyel is charged in 3rd District Court with
kidnapping the other woman, Patricia Murray of West Valley City.
