Hollywood Sign Refurbishment Complete
Los Angeles, California (CNN) - The Hollywood Sign is back to pristine condition.
The famous sign was restored in a nine-week makeover. All the sign's letters were stripped of their coatings and repainted with two new coats -- for a total of 255 gallons of new paint. The refurbishment was funded by paint retailer Sherwin-Williams and The Hollywood Sign Trust The sign was built in 1923, meaning it will soon celebrate its 90th birthday. Comments ( |
