Suspected bomb threat aboard plane prompts fighter jets to scramble
Seattle, Washington (CNN) - An alleged bomb threat caused fighter jets to scramble and escort a plane to Seattle Thursday night.
The FBI reportedly got a call saying a man aboard the Alaska Airlines flight from Hawaii to Seattle might hijack the Boeing 737. Federal investigators were waiting when the plane landed at Sea-Tac International Airport. K-nine units were used to check the plane for explosives. The FBI questioned the man and did not find him to be a threat. No one was hurt. Comments ( |
