By Paul Johnson

Sacramento, California (CNN) - Officials are trying to figure out what sparked this massive fire at Beale Air Force base in northern California.
The flames erupted Monday afternoon sending billows of smoke into the air well into the night.
The two-story civil engineering building that dates back to the 1940's, was lost in the flames.
Only one person was in the building when the fire ignited, he got out safely.
A firefighter had to be rushed to the hospital.
The 200 people who typically work in the building will reportedly operate from an alternate location.
