Door To Door Salesman Allegedly Attacked By Boise Homeowner

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - A door to door salesman says he was the victim of an attack yesterday afternoon. Boise police were called to the 10000 block of West Susan Street about 4pm Thursday. The victim, who is a licensed door to door salesman, tells police he approached the suspect's residence and knocked on the door. According to the victim, the suspect opened the door and immediately pointed a handgun at the victim, yelling and making threats against his life. According the victim, at one point the suspect came out of the home and grabbed him as he attempted to leave, pointing the gun in his face and making threats. A co-worker heard the yelling and approached the front of the residence at which time the suspect went back into the home. Responding officers established a perimeter for public safety and the suspect surrendered a short time later without incident. A handgun was recovered from the home. Following an investigation, police arrested George S. Silva, 26 of Boise charging him with Felony Aggravated Assault.
