UPDATED INFORMATION: Boise Detectives Ask For Public’s Help Following New Years Stabbing
UPDATE: THURSDAY 9:30AM - Boise Police Detectives want to thank the citizens and local media, for their assistance in identifying three persons of interest. Officers received multiple calls from citizens providing valuable identifying information on these three persons.
Using that information, officers identified, and have interviewed all three persons. Officers have now determined the three persons depicted in the photos released earlier this week are not related in any way to the stabbing incident.
The investigation into the stabbing that took place in downtown Boise on New Year's Eve remains active. Officers urge anyone with information that may help them in this case to contact crime stoppers.
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) - Boise Police Detectives want your help identifying three persons of interest who may have information related to an ongoing investigation from New Years Eve. On that date, officers responded to a stabbing in downtown Boise. Officers believe these three individuals, two adult women and a man, pictured at a convenience store later that morning, may have information that could help detectives identify the persons involved. Detectives also want your help identifying the pickup the individuals arrived in.
What happened: At approximately 1:45 a.m. this morning, January 1st 2013, officers receive a report of a fight taking place in the area of Jefferson Street in front of the Capital building. When officers arrived, they located two adult males who tell police they had been in a physical fight and two other adult males. Both adult male victims received injuries from an edged weapon. One of the victims had what appeared to be serious injuries from the altercation, the other received what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for immediate medical attention. Detectives believe that alcohol may have been a factor in this case.
According to the victims, a verbal altercation between the four men had taken place just prior to the stabbing in the area of 8th St N and Bannock Street. Victims tell police a foot chase between all four men took place in the area of the Capital building on Jefferson Street. The males confronted each other in the park, just South of the Capital building and the physical fight began.

The other male is described as a light skinned adult with no clothing description and an average build.
