Federal officials shut down drug tunnel in Arizona
Nogales, Arizona (CNN) - Federal agents shut down a cross-border drug smuggling tunnel in Nogales, Arizona Wednesday and seized more than 12-hundred pounds of marijuana.
Officers were conducting surveillance in the area when they spotted suspicious activity. They found a van filled with bundles of marijuana and took two men into custody. Even more bundles were discovered in the tunnel. Officials say the crude, hand-dug tunnel is about 68 feet long and nearly two feet wide. Comments ( |
