Boise Man Charged With First Degree Murder
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Boise police say what started out as a request they check on a home in the 1600 block of West Warren Street turned into Murder charges. The police responded to the home Thursday afternoon. Before officers had the chance to contact the occupants of the home, the suspect, later identified as Bruce W. Macomb, 62 of Boise, exited the home with what appeared to be non-life threatening injury to his neck. Police soon discovered the body of the victim inside the home. The suspect and the victim are husband and wife. During the course of the investigation detectives obtained information that indicates the suspect caused the death of the victim. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment to what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds.
The suspect was discharged from the hospital today and booked at the Ada County Jail.
The Ada County Coroner has confirmed that a 58-year-old Boise woman was strangled to death.
The coroner says Beba Macomb died at her home located on 1620 W. Warren Street in Boise at about 5 a.m. Thursday.
The coroner says Macomb died of asphyxiation due to manual strangulation with the "manner being homicide." Bruce Macomb has been charged with first degree murder.
