Automatic Spending Cuts Big Impact On Joint Base Lewis-Mcchord
Spanaway, Washington (CNN) - The federal government's automatic spending cuts are about to kick in, unless a deal is reached by Friday.
The Defense Department would take a big hit. And the potential cuts could affect workers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state. The Army says the uniformed personnel there won't see furloughs, but up to 11-thousand civilians are expected to be impacted. And that will be felt in the communities that surround the base, where those employees live. Drew Mikkelsen reports. Comments ( |
