Three People Arrested Near Rexburg on Meth Charges, Following Routine Traffic Stop

Rexberg, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Idaho State Police say that when they initiated a traffic stop about 10 am this morning the officer became suspicious. It turned out to be a good hunch. Six hundred and sixty ounces of what’s suspected to be methamphetamine was located in a 1996 Ford Truck. The stop occurred on U.S. 20 at milepost 340 near Rexberg, officials say. A subsequent search warrant for the vehicle was obtained which resulted in the discovery of approximately $4,000 in cash. Wes E. Williams, 55 of Ririe, Idaho, Brandy Rachell Felts, 40 of Wallace, California and Robert A. Johnson, 33 of Watford, North Dakota were arrested at the scene for trafficking a controlled substance, and were incarcerated in the Madison County Jail.

The Idaho State Police patrol and investigations were assisted by Madison County Sheriff's Office and Rexburg City Police Department's K9 unit.
