UPDATED INFORMATION: Boise Police Investigating “Suspicious” Death

UPDATE: 4:45pm - Boise Police received a report of a disturbance at a hotel on the 1600 block of Main Street this morning, March 5th, at approximately 7:00 a.m. Officers who responded to the location found an adult female deceased in a hotel room and the suspect in the immediate area. They identified the suspect as Thomas L. Herman, 55 of Boise. Officers have determined that the victim is known to the suspect. During the course of a detailed investigation, officers obtained evidence that indicates the suspect is responsible for the death of the adult female victim.
Officers have no reason to believe other individuals are involved in this crime and there appears to be no threat to the community.
The suspect has been booked at the Ada County Jail on a 1st degree murder charge.
The identity of the victim and exact cause of death are pending a coroner’s investigation and will be released by that office.


Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Boise Police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death. They were called to a hotel in the 1600 block of Main Street this morning at about 7am. The only thing that detectives will say is that there was a suspicious death in connection with the call. Authorities are talking to a person of interest. The police are continuing to investigate.
