Man Arrested After 2 Bodies Found In Backyard
Phoenix, Arizona (CNN) - An ex-con faces new murder charges after construction workers found human remains buried in the backyard of a Phoenix home.
He used to live in that home as a renter. Police say Alan Matthew Champagne has been booked on two counts of first-degree murder. Two bodies, a man and a woman, were found buried in a large wooden box in his old backyard. Police believe the bodies are from a 2011 double murder in which they say Champagne was a likely suspect. But they had trouble moving forward with the case in part because they never found the body. Comments ( |
