Santa Cruz Remembers Fallen Officers
Santa Cruz, California (CNN) - Hundreds of officers in a procession of squad cars lined the streets of Santa Cruz, California in honor of fallen comrades.
A memorial service was held for Sergeant Loran "Butch" Baker and Detective Elizabeth Butler. Both were gunned down last week while investigating a sexual assault case. The gunman, Jeremy Goulet, was killed minutes later in a shoot-out with police. Baker and Butler were the first Santa Cruz Police officers ever killed in the line of duty. Comments ( |
