Parents Sentenced For Abusing Adopted Children
Vancover, Washington (CNN) - A mother and father convicted of beating and starving their adopted twins in Vancouver, Washington, have been sentenced to at least 20 years in prison.
Jeffrey Weller was sentenced to 21 years. Sandra Weller to 20. The two were convicted in February of imprisoning and abusing their adopted children. A judge told the couple the abuse suffered by the twins was, quote, "torture." The twins were 16 years old when the Wellers were arrested in 2011.
