Boise Police Make Arrest In Prostitution Investigation

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) One person was arrested and three others were cited following an ongoing investigation into illegal activity, in a parking lot on the 1800 block of West Fairview Avenue. Authorities say they made the arrest Tuesday at about 6pm when officers approached a vehicle and noted the distinct odor of burnt marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana and a Cialis pill that did not have the proper container or documentation. Antonio M Jones, 32 of Oakland California was charged with procurement of prostitution, receiving the funds of a prostitute, Prostitution Interstate trafficking, possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana) Possession of a controlled substance (Prescription Medications) and providing False Information. The suspect provided officers with false identifying information. During the course of the investigation, officers obtained evidence that the suspect had been involved in the transport and organization of prostitution across state lines into Idaho. Evidence indicates the suspect also received funds obtain from the illegal activities taking place in Boise over the last four days.
The investigation also identified three other California residents who were staying at a hotel near the parking lot. Police charge the three with being involved in illegal activities. Albert Garner, 31 of Sacramento and Christie M Norwood, 33 of Los Angeles were both charged with possession of Marijuana and prostitution. Mariah Edwards 20 of Citrus Heights, California was charged with Prostitution.
Jones remains in the custody of the Ada Sheriff’s office.
