Honolulu, Hawaii (CNN) - Even on vacation in Hawaii, an officer is always on duty. This is the airport in Honolulu, where in a few seconds you'll see a T-S-A agent getting attacked. The surveillance video shows a woman trying to push her way through the flight crew security section.
As the agent struggles to control the woman, in steps Justin Rogers.
He's a police corporal, vacationing from Pinole, California.
Rogers had already taken off his shoes to go through the body scanner.
He told C-N-N affiliate K-T-V-U he had heard the sounds of someone being punched, so he felt compelled to spring into action.
Worried he might be confused for the assailant, he immediately identified himself as a police officer and helped airport security put the suspect in handcuffs.
Police later identified the attacker as Wailana Haiola, a homeless woman.
