San Francisco, California (CNN) - A brawl on a bay area rapid transit train was broken up by a bystander -- who used a stun gun on one of the men in the fight.
Police say this man, 30-year-old Zachary McCabe, was laying across two seats when a 62-year-old passenger asked him to make room so he could sit down.
Police say witnesses told them McCabe became aggressive -- especially when the older passenger tried to call authorities -- and put him in a headlock.
Then, police say a third passenger stepped in. A woman zapped McCabe with a stun gun, ending the fight.
McCabe was treated for minor injuries and charged with battery on a transit passenger.
If convicted, he could get up to a year in jail and a 10-thousand-dollar fine.
In case you're wondering, there is a difference between a taser and a stun gun.
Unlike tasers, stun guns need to have direct contact.
