By Paul Johnson

Los Angeles, California (CNN) - Los Angeles international airport is going to the dogs......literally.
This week, l-a-x launched a new program called "pets unstressing passengers," or "pup" for short.
Here you see some of the canines wandering around the airport.
The goal is to have the dogs ease tense travelers as they wait for their flights.
Research shows pet therapy helps relax people, decrease blood pressure and heart rate.
Official’s hope these dogs help improve the atmosphere inside the airport.
In 20-12, travel magazine named LAX the second-worst airport for patient satisfaction.
