Peta Protesters Shower Naked In Public

By Paul Johnson

San Diego, California (CNN) - Showering naked on a street corner to encourage San Diegans to go vegan?
That's right -- two female members of "people for the ethical treatment of animals" did just that Monday to celebrate earth day.
The nude women showered behind a banner that read, "clean your conscience: go vegan! One pound of meat equals six months of showers."
According to the United Nations, raising animals for food is the top contributor to the most serious environmental problems, and wastes an exorbitant amount of water.
One of the showering ladies was PETA's "sexiest vegan next door" finalist Nastasha Rassel.
