Police, Companies Work To Protect Against Rise In Smartphone Theft

San Francisco/New York (CNN) - Smartphone theft is becoming alarmingly common in the United States - and the crimes are getting more violent.
Later Today (Thursday), the New York attorney general and San Francisco district attorney are expected speak with representatives of four of the largest Smartphone makers.
They'll be searching for a more technological solution to the problem.
