WIC Sees Changes To Income Requirements
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) An Idaho nutrition program will soon have new income guidelines.
Women, Infants and Children, or WIC implements new income guidelines starting July 1st.
It's good news as that increases household eligibility to help offset the growing cost of living.
Here's an example of the income change: for a family of three, the upper income limit was set at $35,317 Now it's up to $36,131.
WIC enrollees receive an average of $54 in healthy foods per month.
A little more than 42,000 Idahoans receive WIC assistance. For more information, please visit http://www.wic.dhw.idaho.gov
