Overnight Fire Burns Eagle home

EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI) – An Eagle home which was bought just three weeks ago is now charred after an overnight fire. The fire started around 1:30 a.m. on Bosanka Dr. in Eagle.

One fire engine and five fire trucks were called out to battle the fire. But firefighters say quick thinking by the homeowner really made a difference.

“The homeowners were very fortunate, they woke up, saw the smoke, saw the flames, got out of the house, (and) called 911 - that’s what really made a difference in the scenario,” said Eagle Fire Department Captain Theron Hudson.

Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the garage. It's still unclear what caused the fire.
