Fire Continues To Burn In North Las Vegas Area

North Las Vegas, Nevada (CNN) - Thick smoke filled the air in southern Nevada over the weekend.
CNN ireporter Paul St. Orange captured this image of a huge wildfire near Las Vegas.
He said the smell of smoke was very strong and ash was falling.
As of Sunday night, the so-called "carpenter one fire" had burned more than 14-thousand acres in the Mount Charleston area.
It was only 15 percent contained.
The inferno was sparked a week ago by a lightning strike.
