By KMVT News

Oakland, California ( CNN ) - There will be no public transit strike in the San Francisco bay area, at least for now.
Late Sunday night, Governor Jerry Brown stepped in to prevent Bay Area Rapid Transit, or "BART" workers from walking off the job.
The governor invoked a state law that allows the state to intervene if a strike will significantly disrupt public services.
There was growing concern a strike would be called overnight , creating another traffic nightmare for bay area commuters.
