Washington Bridge Reopens After Collapse
Burlington, Washington (CNN) - Crews in Washington worked all night to re-open the bridge over the Skagit River.
The bridge collapsed four months ago after being hit by an oversize truck.
Two vehicles carrying three people fell into the water -- no one was killed.
To complete the new section, workers had to remove a 500-ton temporary section a replace it with a permanent span weighing about 900 tons.
The cost of last night's final step was eight-point-five million dollars, paid by federal emergency relief funds.
