SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Looking to trim costs, Delta Air Lines is
cutting five more routes out of Salt Lake City.

The cuts include flights to Yuma, Ariz., San Luis Obispo,
Calif., Bakersfield, Calif., Durango, Colo., and Pittsburgh. The
reductions are scheduled for August and September.

Three other flights will only be offered seasonally.

A spokesman says Delta made the decision to cut flights rather
than raise fares in order to deal with rising gas prices.

The latest cuts follow an announcement earlier this year by
Delta to cut flights to 10 cities from its Salt Lake City hub.

Delta employs about 3,500 people in Utah.
