By Paul Johnson

Stockton, California (CNN) - A long, slow-speed police chase in Stockton, California.
Police say a man stole a big rig carrying about 80,000 pounds of scrap metal and about 100 gallons of diesel fuel.
The overnight chase, at around 25 to 30 miles per hour, dragged on for nearly four hours!
Police cars and a helicopter patiently followed.
Sparks could be seen coming from the big rig after officers apparently laid down some spike strips to stop the vehicle.
The driver ran off on foot, but police were able to take him into custody a few minutes later.
