California (CNN) - The record drought in California appears to be getting worse.
According to the U.S. drought monitor, one hundred percent of the state is now abnormally dry or in some sort of drought.
More than 70% of the state is in extreme or exceptional drought conditions.
On Wednesday, California lawmakers announced new legislation for emergency drought funding
The massive $687-million bill provides funding for food and housing for workers directly impacted by the drought.
