Kirkman Named Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center Warden

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) – The Idaho Department of Correction has named Jeff Kirkman warden of Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.
Kirkman joined the department in 2001. He has worked as a paralegal, management assistant, contract monitor and most recently as IDOC’s statewide coordinator for access to courts, religious activities and volunteers.
“Jeff has done a great job in his 13 years with IDOC and demonstrated a unique ability to develop and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders, policymakers and the department’s staff,” said IDOC Prisons Division Chief Jeff Zmuda.
Kirkman earned an associate degree in general education from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boise State University. He has served as an instructor at the Peace Officers Standards and Training Academy in Meridian and is a graduate of Idaho’s Certified Public Manager program
PWCC is a 289-bed women’s prison in Pocatello. The facility incarcerates women who are classified in all custody levels and serves as the entry point for women who are entering Idaho’s correctional system.
