La Canada Flintridge, California (CNN) - A car crash led to an attack by a swarm of angry bees -- that sent two women to the hospital.
It happened Sunday in La Cañada Flintridge, near Los Angeles.
At least one of the drivers hit a tree and knocked down a bee hive.
Witnesses say a 17-year-old driver involved in the accident was stung at least 100 times.
She looked like she got stung in the face a bunch of times and it was all swollen already and her arms were like, her legs whatever, anything that was exposed was like fully stung, her hands. She was like literally, when i first came out here, just sitting on the ground crying like screaming, like panicking, didn't know what to do, all frantic, and like, i just like reacted, grabbed the hose, sprayed her off.
Police say a 51-year-old woman was stung at least 500 times.
