Students Disappointed After Governor Otter Doesn’t Show For Meeting

By Paul Johnson

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Student leaders from several of Idaho's public colleges say they're disappointed after a meeting mix-up with governor Otter.
They wanted to discourage him from signing the "guns on campus" bill.
But when the students arrived at the governor's office - he wasn't there.

"After we delivered the petitions on Friday and made very clear that we wanted to meet with Governor Otter in a myriad of emails and phone calls and then we showed up today and to our disappointment, he wasn't in the office."

The students were able to sit-down with two of the governor's staff members.
A spokesman for otter says that was the idea all along and the meeting lasted about an hour.
