Monterey County, California (CNN) - 14 dogs were rescued Monday from a vehicle in Monterey County, California.
Four adult dogs and 10 puppies, all Pomeranians and Chihuahuas, were found stuffed in dirty crates.
Some crates had four dogs in them and were so crowded the animals couldn't stand up straight.
The dogs' owner told the SPCA she planned to sell the puppies.
The animals are being checked out by local veterinarians.
