Elk Rescued From Frozen Lake

Cameron, Montana (CNN) - A group of men in Montana most of them elk hunters helped save an animal over the weekend.
This video was shot by a Montana man, after he found an elk had fallen through the ice on Hebgen lake.
Armed with ropes, ladders, and a harness, he and some other locals were able to rescue the elk from the icy water.
Patrick Daigle says they used the ladders to distribute their weight across the ice -- helping them avoid falling through themselves.
After pulling the elk out of the water, the men worried it would run back across the ice.
They used the ladders again to help corral the animal back to shore and into the forest.
